The criteria to register as a childcare you must have 2 years paid childcare experience or qualified, hold an enhanced DBS and on the update service and preferably be first aid trained in paediatrics.
Once you have completed a registration form, we will arrange to meet, where you will need to bring these documents with you:
* Enhanced DBS
* First Aid Certificate
* Ofsted registration
* Driving Licence
* Visa if required
* Proof of address/ID
* National Insurance Number
It's a rewarding job working with children with additional needs. Support workers/buddies can make a huge difference to a child and their family’s lives. It can also be a demanding role, it requires someone who is:
- A caring, understanding, nurturing and patient person to care and develop each unique child.
- Confident to work by yourself as well as part of a large team.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Work closely with the family and outside professionals to maximise the child's potential
- Willing to train
To register with us you need to hold at least a Health and Social Care or Childcare level 2 qualification, have 2 years experience in a caring environment preferably with children or have a desire to work with children with additional needs and be over 18 years of age.
How to register
After we have received your CV and registration form we will be in contact to arrange an interview. We do like to meet face to face, however, sometimes you may be unable to come to us, we can then arrange a Skype interview. If the interview is conducted through Skype, your documents will need to be sent by special delivery, they will be scanned and sent straight back to you. We will contact references whilst processing your form and arranging interviews. References must be from employers, school or university not famiy or friends.
